Balmaisha Foundation Brings Hope to Women in Sahana Yili in Northern Ghana

The Balmaisha Foundation, committed to supporting preterm babies and their mothers, recently extended its community outreach program to Sahana Yili in the Northern Region of Ghana. The visit aimed to educate and empower women in the community about the care and support needed for preterm infants.

In collaboration with professional nurses from the Ghana Health Service, the foundation provided vital information on what preterm babies are and the unique care they require. The women were guided on the importance of proper breastfeeding and how it significantly contributes to the healthy development of their babies.

Madam Fayudatu Yakubu, the founder of the Balmaisha Foundation, shared her personal journey with her own preterm daughter. Her story of overcoming challenges resonated deeply with the women, offering them both hope and practical advice. She emphasized the foundation’s dedication to supporting and guiding mothers of preterm babies, not only through education but also by providing material, financial, and medical care support.

The visit was a beacon of hope for the women of SahanaYili, assuring them that they are not alone in their journey. The Balmaisha Foundation remains committed to making a difference in the lives of preterm babies and their families across Ghana.
