GARC :Empowering Rural Women Through Vocational Skills Training

Golden Anvil Restoration Centre (GARC) celebrated a significant milestone over the weekend as three of its trainees graduated from their Textile Hand-weaving program. Founded by the visionary Rev. Rose Abormegah, GARC stands as a beacon of hope, dedicated to empowering rural underprivileged adolescent girls and young women through vocational skills training and mentorship.

Since its inception, GARC has been instrumental in transforming the lives of countless young girls, equipping them with valuable skills that enable them to thrive independently. From Textile Hand-weaving to Dressmaking and Welding, the institution offers a diverse range of training programs tailored to meet the needs of its students and empower them for success.

The recent graduation ceremony was a testament to the dedication and hard work of both the students and the staff at GARC. Against all odds, these young women have persevered, honing their craft and emerging as skilled artisans ready to contribute to their communities and beyond.

During the ceremony, the graduates were not only awarded the prestigious National Vocational Training Institute certificate (NVTI) but also received a GARC certificate, symbolising their completion of the rigorous training program. Additionally, they were provided with the necessary equipment and materials to kickstart their entrepreneurial journey.

This achievement not only marks a personal triumph for the graduates but also highlights the impact of GARC’s mission in uplifting rural women and bridging the gap between opportunity and capability. By investing in these young women, GARC is not only transforming individual lives but also laying the foundation for sustainable development within the communities it serves.

As we celebrate this momentous occasion, let us continue to support institutions like Golden Anvil Restoration Centre in their noble endeavour to empower and uplift marginalised women, paving the way for a brighter and more inclusive future for all. Together, we can make a difference, one empowered woman at a time.
