In the heart of Tamale, a monumental tribute has emerged in the suburb of Choggu. The once-familiar Choggu Roundabout has been rechristened as the ‘Dr. Choggu’ Roundabout, honoring the legacy of the philanthropic Dr. Abdulai Choggu.
Dr. Choggu’s benevolence shone bright through his unwavering dedication at Shekinah Clinic, where he provided complimentary medical care to the mentally challenged and the less fortunate in the community.
The initiative to rejuvenate the roundabout and commission the statue was spearheaded by the renowned Tamale-based rap ensemble, Choggu Boys.
A heartfelt nod to Choggu Boys for commemorating and celebrating the remarkable contributions of Dr. Choggu.
