Get ready, Tamale! The Playing for Change Day Festival is just around the corner, promising two days of vibrant cultural performances, music, and art. Whether you’re a lover of traditional arts or modern rhythms, this festival has something for everyone!
Day 1: Cultural Performances and Exhibitions
On 28th September, from 9 AM to 12:30 PM, the festival kicks off at Dakpema Place. The air will be alive with traditional drumming, dancing, and vibrant costumes as the Bizung Group, Youth Home Cultural Group, Tahama Cultural Group, and others showcase the rich cultural heritage of the Northern Region. This event is not just a performance—it’s an immersive cultural experience, featuring exhibitions that highlight the beauty of our traditions.
Day 2: Live Concert and Comedy
Then, on 29th September, the festival moves to the Wooden Restaurant along Tamale-Bolga Road, where the energy ramps up for an unforgettable Live Concert! From 3 PM to 1 AM, enjoy electrifying performances by Northern Ghana’s finest, including Mohammed Alidu, Don Sigli, Pasinja, Ras Preachaman, Fadi Emprez, and Gana King Kora. Need some laughs? Get ready for exclusive comedy from the one and only Masinga Phil!
This year’s theme, Creating Positive Change through Music and Art, highlights the power of creativity in shaping a brighter future. It’s more than just a festival—it’s a movement.
